Some of the best and brightest high school students from across the island will be honored Saturday at the annual “Salute to the Graduates” program Saturday at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel.

The event, now it its 31st year, features seniors selected by their schools based on five different categories: athletics, literary or performing arts, scholastics, leadership and information technology.

Each student is being highlighted over the airwaves of Pacific Media Group radio stations in a month-long series of vignettes which began April 27. The reports highlight each student’s accomplishments, awards, and post-high school plans.

The students and their families are hosted at the celebration which features lunch, music and a guest speaker. This year’s featured guest is Tony Silva, half of the popular comedy duo “Da Braddahs.”
