A Kentucky company is recalling some Kraft Velveeta pasta and ground beef products because their labeling does not specify that they contain soy, an allergen.

The ingredient was missing from some packaging of Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets Singles Ultimate Cheesburger Mac, the US Department of Agriculture said Sunday.

The products are made with hydrolyzed soy protein and dried soy sauce, the USDA said.

The products involved included 3.3-pound cases containing six, 9-ounce microwavable containers.

The USDA notice about the recall and information on identifying codes of the affected packaging is available here.

The error was discovered by the manufacturer, Truitt Brothers Inc. of East Bernstadt, Ky.

The company is recalling 1.77 million pounds of the product produced between May 6, 2013 and Jan. 16, 2014 and shipped to Kraft Foods distribution centers and retail locations nationwide.

Consumers with questions about the recall should contact the Kraft Foods Consumer Relations Center at 1-800-396-5512.
