Public’s Help Sought Identifying Shoplifting Suspect

Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man wanted for questioning in a Hilo shoplifting case.

The case involves the theft Monday of $329 worth of merchandise stolen from an unidentified store in the Prince Kuhio Plaza.

Anyone with information on the identity or whereabouts of the suspect is asked to contact Officer Jon Carvalho at 961-2213 or call the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Anonymous tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
