Although the cause of death is being withheld pending the results of toxicology tests, police said the forensic pathologist found evidence of smoke inhalation.
Detectives are continuing their investigation into the identity of the victim.
The man’s body was found in the remains of the home on Bamboo Lane in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates. The cause of fire is under investigation.
