Police have renewed their request for help locating a Honoka`a man reported missing on May 14.

John Spillane, who police said was known in Hawai`i as Kevin Devlin, was last seen on May 13 between 6:30 and 7 p.m. in Waipio Valley when he told someone he was going for a swim while camping in the remote valley.

An intensive ocean and shoreline search turned up no sign of the man.

Devlin is described as Caucasian, 5-foot-10 and 160 pounds. He is in his late 50s or early 60s and has short, thin white hair.

Anyone with information on him is asked to contact Det. Derek Morimoto at 961-2380 or [email protected] or the police department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.

Anonymous tipsters can call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona.
