UPDATE: One Charged in Connection with Gunshots Fired

Police have charged one of the men arrested in connection with an incident in which shots were fired from a vehicle driving down Haihai Street.
Police said Alfred Fuller IV, 22, of Hilo was charged today with first-degree reckless endangering and two firearms violations.
Fuller’s bail was set at $7,500.
Police said two other men arrested in connection with the Monday night incident were released today without charges pending further investigation.

Police are looking for witnesses to an incident late Monday night involving the firing of gunshots from a vehicle being driven eastbound on Haihai Street.
At around 11:45 p.m., police received several reports of the shots being fired between Heahea and Kinoole Streets.
Police located the vehicle, a 1996 silver Volkswagon Jetta, and arrested five persons, including two juveniles, on suspicion of reckless endangering.
The adults arrested were 21-year-old Justy Kahana, 22-year-old Alfred Fuller IV and 21-year-old Kaipo Kailipaka. All are residents of Hilo.
The juveniles were released to their parents pending further investigation.
Police declined to release further details on the matter.
No charges had been filed in the case as of this afternoon.
