Two Sought by Police in Unrelated Cases

Police are asking for the public’s help finding two individuals wanted on arrest warrants in unrelated cases.

Andrew Marshall Wanat, 27, is wanted on three bench warrants for violating probation.

Wanat is Caucasian, 5-foot-11 and 210 pounds. He has brown eyes and short brown hair.

Police said he is also wanted for questioning in connection with a car stolen from Kona on May 4.

Wanat has no permanent address but is known to frequent the Kona area.

Police are also looking for 18-year-old Kimberly Akina, who is also wanted for violating probation.

She is described as Filipino, 5-foot-3 and 200 pounds. She has brown eyes and long red hair.

Akina is also wanted for questioning in connection with an identity theft investigation, police said.

She also has no permanent address and may be in Kona or Hilo.

Police ask that anyone with information on either’s whereabouts call the police department at 935-3311.
