Mayor and Family Visiting Japan for Relative’s Birthday
Mayor Billy Kenoi will be traveling to Japan this week on a family vacation, an administration spokesman said today.
Kenoi, his wife Takako and their three children will be visiting Kagoshima, Japan to celebrate the 90th birthday of the children’s great-grandmother.
County Managing Director Wally Lau will serving as acting mayor until Kenoi’s return.
The mayor is scheduled to return to work on Monday, June 24.
