Police Investigate Monday Night Road-Rage Incident in Puna

Police are investigating a road rage incident that occurred Monday evening on the highway between Keaau and Pahoa.
Police said a man driving a blue Honda sedan threw objects at another vehicle heading toward Pahoa, forcing it onto the shoulder of Highway 130. The suspect then pulled over, allegedly reached into the victim’s vehicle and assaulted him.
The incident happened near the 4-mile marker at about 6:45 p.m.
The male victim was driving a champagne-colored Honda sedan.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information on the case is asked to call Officer Jenny Lee at 965-2716 or the police department at 935-3311.
