Woman Escapes Early Morning Fire in Oceanview

Hawaii Fire Department personnel responded just after midnight this morning to a reported fire in Oceanview.

Firefighters arrived to find a 900 square foot structure off Coconut Drive fully engulfed in flames.

A total of six fire personnel and one volunteer worked to control the blaze, which was fully extinguished just after 1 a.m.

The home’s sole occupant escaped without injury.

Damage has been estimated at $45,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
