Hawaii Electric Light Company is advising customers in the Honomu area of a power outage scheduled to take effect tonight, Wednesday, March 20 from 11 p.m. to approximately 5 a.m. Thursday, March 21.
The outage is being scheduled to allow HELCO personnel to safely perform emergency overhead line repairs.
HELCO recommends unplugging sensitive equipment prior to the power interruption. If any customers have critical medical needs, arrangements should be made in advance.
