Police are again asking for the public’s help locating a 47-year-old man allegedly involved in a shooting incident last summer.

Police began looking for James Gannon Coffey of Mountain View last July after a woman reported that Coffey had fired at least one gunshot at her.

The woman told police that she had gone to Coffey’s home on Overview Road in Mountain View to retrieve some property. While there she and Coffey got into a verbal confrontation, and as she was leaving she heard what sounded like a gunshot.

When she turned back toward Coffey she saw him point a firearm at her and fire another round, the woman told police.
