Body Pulled from Water after Vehicle Found in Papa`aloa River

A County of Hawaii chopper responding to a report of a missing person spotted a vehicle in a Papa`aloa area river just after 1:30 pm today.
During a subsequent search of the area, Hawaii Fire Department personnel located a man’s body approximately 100 yards downstream of the vehicle.
The victim’s remains were recovered from the water by a fire rescue specialist using a Billy Pugh Net. The body was then turned over to the Hawaii Police Department.
A total of six HFD personnel and five vehicles were involved in the search and recovery.
