Storage Room Burns in Honokaa Home

A fire in a storage room damaged a home on Pohakealani Road Friday night.
Firefighters from the Honokaa Fire Station arriving at the scene at about 10:30 p.m. found that the homeowner had extinguished most of the flames.
The fire had begun to reach the home’s living area before they were contained.
Damage to the home was estimated at $30,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
