‘Trunk or Treat’ in Mt. View on Halloween
Neighborhood Place of Puna is holding their annual “trunk or treat” event at their Mountain View location on Halloween from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held at NPP’s upper Puna office located at 18-7965 North Kulani Rd., approximately 1.7 miles mauka of Highway 11.
Activities include games, goodies, prizes, and trunk or treat. Children attending the event can also make Halloween crafts to take home.
For 10 years, Neighborhood Place of Puna has been providing support and services to families throughout Puna, which has the highest rate of child abuse and neglect in the state.
The nonprofit group provides consistent, ongoing, in-home, family strengthening services, including financial literacy training, basic parenting skills, age appropriate discipline, basic hygiene, and life skills. They also connect parents to available resources and advocacy.
