The Pahoa Public and School Library will close at 1 p.m. Friday for termite tenting.
As of 2 p.m. Friday, the book drop will be locked until the project is completed.
During the closure the circulation desk will be replaced, state library officials said.
Because of the possibility of unforeseen delays such as maintenance or repairs related to the work, officials said they cannot say exactly when the Pahoa library will reopen. They said a press release will be issued announcing its reopening.
