Police: Hilo Man Found With Stolen Laptop, Gun

A Hilo man was charged with several offenses Friday after police found stolen items and a gun in a vehicle.

Police said Kawika Larinaga-Napihaa, 22, was arrested Thursday along with two other suspects after the items were found in a vehicle in a parking lot of a business on Makaala Street.

Police said they found a laptop stolen in Kona in the vehicle as well as two firearms, including reported stolen in a Hilo burglary.

Larinaga-Napihaa was charged the following day with two counts of first-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree theft and two firearms charges.

His bail was set at $96,000.
