Bail Set at $35,000 For Man Charged in Burglary

A
Big Island police today charged a Honoka`a man with burglary in connection with a break-in last month.
Sam Ryelan Perez was also charged with theft in connection with the Aug. 24 incident.
Police said a 57-year-old Honoka`a woman reported that when she returned home at about 4 p.m. that day she found that her home had been burglarized and several items taken.
A neighbor told police that he had seen Perez running through a nearby yard.

Perez’s bail was set at $35,000.
