Because of Monday’s Labor Day holiday, the monthly test of the statewide Civil Defense outdoor siren system will be carried out this morning at 11:45 a.m.
The siren test is a steady one-minute tone on all sirens.
Normally the test of the sirens and the Emergency Alert System is conducted on the first working day of the month in cooperation with Hawaii’s broadcasting industry.
Civil Defense preparedness information is located in the front section of telephone directories.
