Gov. Neil Abercrombie today ordered that national and Hawai`i flags at state offices and agencies will be flown at half-staff Friday in honor of the memory of astronaut Neil Armstrong.

The order, in keeping with a directive from President Obama, will be in effect from sunrise to sunset.

Friday is the day of interment for Armstrong, the first person to set foot on the moon.
