Hale Nani Escapee Kalili Apprehended in Kona

A spokeswoman for the state Department of Public Safety this morning said that the latest escapee from the Hale Nani Correctional Facility has been captured.

Toni Schwartz said police arrested 20-year-old Joshua Kalili last night in Kona.

Kalili, a former Honaunau resident who left the facility in Panaewa on Sunday, was charged with second degree escape and was awaiting arraignment.
