Abandoned Building in HOVE Destroyed By Fire

Fire destroyed an abandoned structure in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates Tuesday evening, the Hawai`i Fire Department said.
Firefighters from the HOVE station arriving at 5:24 p.m. found the 30-foot by 40-foot structure fully engulfed in flames.
Neighbors told firefighters that the building, basically a wooden shell with a metal roof, had not been occupied for some time.
Damage to the structure located on Hawaii Boulevard, between Luau and Coral drives, was estimated at $40,000.

The cause of the blaze was unknown.
