Papaikou Man Charged with Burglary in Hilo

A 31-year-old Papaikou man has been charged with burglary and other offenses.
Police responding to a 7:30 a.m. report of a burglary Wednesday on Pu`uhina Street in Hilo allegedly found Tyson McDowell hiding on the property with stolen items in his possession, including the key to the house that had been burglarized.
McDowell was charged on Thursday with burglary and theft, and also four drug charges for drugs and paraphernalia allegedly in his possession when he was arrested.
His bail was set at $10,250.
