County Reopening Honoka`a Gym

The county Department of Parks and Recreation will reopen the Honoka`a Gymnasium today following repairs to its roof.
Ivan Mochida Contracting spent the past two months replacing the roof over the main courts. The contractor also replaced numerous steel framing struts and installed new insulation. The cost of the project was about $450,000.
Next up is repainting of the gym’s exterior, although that is not expected to disrupt the public’s use of the facility.
