Gov. Neil Abercrombie today ordered that national and Hawai`i flags at state offices and agencies will be flown at half-staff Tuesday in honor of the memory of former state Rep. John Justin Medeiros.

Medeiros represented the Kailua, Oahu area in the state House from 1971 to 1988. He also served as a delegate to the state Constitutional Convention in 1968 and was a past chairman of the O`ahu Advisory Council.

Medeiros died July 13 in Kailua at the age of 83.
