Hilo Woman Charged in December Burglary

A 21-year-old Hilo woman has been accused of breaking into a home on Alae Street in Hilo last December.
Police said Rose Peace was arrested and charged Friday with burglary and theft in connection with the Dec. 5 break-in. She is accused of stealing jewelry valued at more than $2,000.
Peace was being held in the Hilo police cellblock in lieu of $7,000 bail.
