County water service will be temporarily turned off along Highway 11, also known as the Volcano Highway, in a portion of Mountain View early Tuesday.
According to the county Department of Water Supply, the outage will occur between 8 a.m. and noon between Mountain View Elementary School and North Kulani Road.
The school will not be affected by the outage, a department spokesperson said.
The shut-off will allow crews to install a new waterline connection.

Upon resumption of service customers may notice turbid or discolored water, as well air in the plumbing which will be released as water is used.
