The Department of Water Supply will temporarily shut off water along Waianuenue Avenue Monday between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to do a waterline connection for the Pi’ihonua Resevoir No. 2 Replacement Project. Areas along Waianuenue Avenue that will be affected are between Pe’epe’e Falls Street and Pi’ikea Street in Pi’ihonua.

This project was the reason for an overnight shutoff of water on Saturday night, which affected the Hilo Medical Center for nearly six hours.

Anyone who needs more information on the temporary water shut off should call Carl Nishimura at 961-8790.
