After being reported missing on Saturday, 53-year-old Susan O’Connell has been located by police.

South Hilo Patrol said that they took the phone call reporting her missing after she checked out of her hotel room on Banyan Drive earlier in the day. O’Connell’s vehicle, a green Mercury sedan, had remained in the parking lot of Coconut Island near the hotel.

Police did not disclose where O’Connell is from, or where she was located, but did appreciate the community’s help in finding her.
