A 9-year-old boy who left his home after having an argument with his mother Wednesday afternoon was found unharmed today in Hilo.

Police said a family found Disen Hue-Aragaki wandering alone Wednesday on 40th Avenue in Orchidland, which is about two miles from his Kurtistown home. The family took him to their home and fed him, and let him spend the night.

On Thursday, the family took the boy with them to a construction site on Railroad Avenue in Hilo. After learning from a relative that the boy had been reported missing, the family informed police of his location.

Police responded to the construction site to retrieve Hue-Aragaki, who was examined by Fire Department paramedics and found to be in good health and uninjured.
