Local authorities are asking for the public’s help in a new missing person’s report. 28-year-old Hilo woman Kimberly Mattos was reportedly last seen on Wednesday morning at her home on Ho’ohua Street.

Mattos also goes by her middle name, Leinaala, and another last name, Aki. She is of Hawaiian descent, 5-foot-4, 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She has multiple tattos, including on her left leg and right foot, a strand of leaves tattoo around her right bicep, a flower tattoo on her left chest, the name “Eric” inked on her upper back, roses tattooed behind each shoulder, and another flower on her upper right outer thigh.

The last vehicle she was seen driving was a 2005 cream-colored Nissan Altima four-door sedan. The license plate number is HFE 225. There is a crack on the driver’s side front headlight lens, which has transparent tape over it.

Mattos was last seen wearing blue denim jeans, brown sandals, and a faded salmon top with flower designs. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call Detective Joel Field at 961-2381.
