BRIEF: DUI Statistics Released For Week Ending March 4th

DUI arrests, major traffic accidents, and traffic fatalities are all on the rise as compared to the same point in 2011.
Twenty more individuals were arrested last week, pushing the number up to 250 total arrests this year. That’s an increase of 0.8%. Meanwhile, traffic accidents have risen by 6.1%. Police says that 262 traffic accidents have occured this year, an increase of fifteen. And, the six traffic deaths that have occurred on the island are an increase by one over the same time as last year.
Police says that DUI roadblocks and checkpoints will continue throughout the island.
