The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation (HDOT) announces the activation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway and the entrance to the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park.

The traffic signal will be activated at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2018, and was installed as part of the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway Widening, Phase 2.

The traffic signal will flash yellow from 9 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2018, to transition motorists and allow them to get used to the new signal, which will control the flow of traffic along the Queen Ka‘ahumanu Highway as well as traffic headed to the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park and the Lanihau Properties Business Park.
