HPD Continues Search for Missing Barton Bumatay

The Hawai’i Police Department continues to search for 59-year-old Barton Allen Bumatay, who was last seen in the early evening hours of Dec. 31.

Bumatay is described as a “local male,” about 6-foot-1, and 255 pounds. Police say he has a tan complexion, brown eyes, and salt-and-pepper medium-length wavy hair.

In addition to the missing man, authorities are also looking for his 2007 Chevy Colorado four-door pickup truck with the licenses plate HLX 461.

Anyone with information regarding Bumatay’s whereabouts or the pickup truck should contact Detective Sandor Finkey by calling 961-2384 or e-mailing [email protected]; or Detective Wendall Carter by calling 961-2378 or e-mailing [email protected].

Those who prefer to remain anonymous should call the Big Island Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300.
