HFD Seeks Additional $6M for Haihai Fire Station

An additional $6 million is sought by the Hawai’i County Fire Department for the Haihai Fire Station.

The amendment to Ordinance No. 15-58 will be heard at Tuesday’s Hawai’i County Council meeting.

Funds are sought from the General Obligation Bonds, Capital Projects Fund – Fund Balance. In order to pass, the amendment must be approved by a two-thirds vote of the entire council.

The Kawailani Station would be replaced using the funds.
