Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight with scattered showers for windward areas. Leeward areas should get mostly cloudy skies to start with clearing expected through the night as the land breeze takes hold. Variable winds are forecasted up to 15 mph. Low temperatures from 72° to 77° are expected.
Looking Ahead
Weakening trade winds are expected to lead to local afternoon sea breeze and nighttime land breeze over leeward areas. Low clouds and showers will favor the interior and leeward sections each afternoon and evening, with some clouds and showers over windward and mauka sections mainly at night and during the morning. Increasing showers may occur by mid-week over the Big Island as tropical moisture moves up over the eastern end of the state.
