Pavement Work to Close Volcano Transfer Station

The County of Hawai’i Department of Environmental Management Solid Waste Division has announced that it will close the Volcano Transfer Station between June 8 and June 13.

Pavement work that is part of the $1.06 million planning, redesign, and construction of the Volcano and Glenwood Transfer Station Repairs and Improvements Project will be conducted during the closure.

During the closure of the Volcano Transfer Station, Glenwood Transfer Station will be opened for residential rubbish disposal.

Beginning on June 13, the Volcano Transfer Station will resume normal operating hours from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
