Heidi Kim has been announced as the new Vice President of Blue Zones Project Hawai’i by Healthways, Inc. and Hawai’i Medical Service Association.

A community-based well-being improvement initiative brought to Hawai’i by HMSA, Blue Zones aims to assist in making healthy choices easier. HMSA’s goal is that the project can help transform the state, keeping residents living longer and better lives.

In her new role as vice president, Kim will hold the responsibility of implementing Blue Zones projects in Hawai’i. She will drive engagement and environmental change in local communities and worksites selected for the projects. She will also lead the organization toward assisting in the improvement of well-being, a goal that can be measured by the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index.

Prior to her role with Blue Zones Project, Kim managed marketing and corporate relations at R.M. Towill Corporation, a Hawai’i-based engineering and planning firm. Before her job with RMTC, she worked as a marketing research analyst and served clients in healthcare, travel and tourism, and financial service industries. Kim also has experience in working with Fortune 1000 companies on communication strategy, testing, and measurement.
