Tuesday’s water shut-off along Kalaniana’ole Avenue has been rescheduled to Thursday, April 23.

The Department of Water Supply announced that water along Kalaiana’ole Avenue, between Silva Street and 612A Kalaniana’ole Avenue, near the entrance to R&G Tire Center, will be turned off on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Officials say the shut-off is for the installation of a hydrant valve.

Once water service returns, water lines will be flushed. Customers in the affected area may notice turbid or discolored water. Air trapped in plumbing may also be noticed. These occurrences should dissipate with water use.

DWS officials advise customers to take necessary precaution to protect property, including devices that are dependent on water or water pressure.
