Brush Fire Scorches land by Historical Site
About 30 acres were burned in South Kohala after a car fire ignited the brush at the entrance of Pu’ukohola Heiau and Spencer Beach Park, Thursday afternoon.

Pu‘ukoholā Heiau National Historic Site in Kawaihae will remain closed Monday and Tuesday after the Kawaihae brush fire burned 90 percent of the parks vegetation on 80 acres.
