North Kona Water Restriction Downgraded to Voluntary 10%

Effective immediately, the 25% mandatory North Kona water restriction, that has been in effect since June 6, is officially downgraded to a 10% voluntary water conservation.

The Department of Water Supply confirmed on Friday that four wells – not one – are inoperable in North Kona, leading to a mandatory 25% water restriction.

North Kona Water Conservation Remains in Effect

The Department of Water Supply (DWS) reports that due to ongoing repairs with wells in the North Kona area, the 10% voluntary water conservation remains in effect.
