Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park invites everyone to join the celebration of National Park Week from April 22 to April 30 with free programs, events and activities.

In addition to a full slate of programming, April 22 will be a fee-free day for all visitors to the park.

On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Jan. 16, there will be free admission to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park and Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park on the Big Island.

National Park Week is April 16-24, and Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park invites everyone to celebrate with a fee-free Saturday and slew of other fun-filled and educational events, including the return of ranger programs and the Thomas A. Jaggar living history performance.
HVNP to Lift Entry Fees April 17 in Celebration of National Park Week
Visitors to Hawaiʻi Volcanoes and Haleakalā national parks, and Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park on April 17 will enter free of charge in celebration of National Park Week.

All events are free to the public and will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During the nine day celebration, entrance fees will be waived and several events will take place, including National Park Rx Day on Sunday, April 24.
