Hawai‘i County finally nearing finish line to make all beach parks ADA compliant

Hawai‘i County started identifying and upgrading its parks facilities in 2000. After surveying 240 parks and recreation facilities, 35 were recognized as needing upgrades to provide equitable access.

County to Temporarily Close Recreation Area

The recreation area will be closed on Oct. 23, 2019 from 5 a.m. to noon.
