#First-Degree Terroristic Threatening

21-year-old Ar Aweni faces several charges including terroristic threatening, assault and unlawful imprisonment in connection with the incidents Nov. 7 in Kalaoa area of Kona.

49-year-old Bradford Borum faces charges including terroristic threatening and criminal property damage connected with the incident. Because the man who reported being shot at went to Borum’s home unannounced and uninvited, a counter-complaint was also made, which will be forwarded to the Office of the County Prosecutor of Hawai‘i County for review.

40-year-old Joshua Van Why allegedly stabbed the security guard working the night of Nov. 9 at a bar in the 75-100 block of Sarona Road when he was denied and became angry and the two got into a fight. Van Why’s girlfriend, 29-year-old Rachel Hogan, was also involved in the fightand allegedly stabbed another man who was trying to intervene between the security guard and Van Why.

58-year-old Shawn Edward Page allegedly shot at Big Island police officers during the incident at a residence in the 11-3000 block of Nahelenani Street in Volcano that began the morning of Oct. 9.

31-year-old Dillon Royden Daimen Revila and 33-year-old Latoya-Lynn Pilialoha Spalding-Poepoe of Hilo face a slew of charges in connection with several separate vehicle thefts and an abuse incident spanning the past several months around the island. The also had outsanding warrants.

The victim sustained a laceration to his right forearm from being struck with the hatchet and also sustained numerous abrasions in various areas of his body. The victim reported that Jones slammed his cellphone into the ground, destroying it, and struck numerous areas of his vehicle with the hatchet, causing damages.

32-year-old Kamren Forest Adams was originally charged by way of complaint and made his initial appearance May 14 in Kona District Court. Despite objections by Hawai’i County prosecutors, he was released on supervised release.

22-year-old Daryl C. Sampaga Jr. made his initial appearance Monday in Hilo District Court. His bail was maintained at $390,000 and he was ordered to appear Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.

32-year-old Kamren Forest Adams was ordered to return for a hearing at 1 p.m. June 19 in Kona District Court after an exam is completed to determine his fitness to proceed in the case.

32-year-old Kamren Adams of Ocean View is charged with first-degree burglary and first-degree terroristic threatening.

67-year-old Glenn Gruenhagen was arrested Friday afternoon for first-degree terroristic threatening and harassment.
