No Tsunami Threat From 7.8M Chilean Aftershock
The 7.8 magnitude tremor late this afternoon was among a flurry of strong aftershocks in the same area as Tuesday’s powerful earthquake.
UPDATE: Tsunami Advisory Issued Warning of Strong Currents
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said no significant tsunami is expected from the Chilean earthquake, but strong currents could be generated.
