The action isn’t just at the Edith Kanaka‘ole Multi-Purpose Stadium and Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium during Merrie Monarch Week on the Big Island. There are several other venues throughout Hilo and East Hawai‘i that will feature hula, music, arts and crafts, Hawaiian cultural events and other entertainment.

The Hanukkah celebration, which the congregation has hosted for more than five years, is open to all faiths, all beliefs, all ages and all beings.

The children and their families enjoyed arts and crafts stations, a photo booth and prize drawings. The day ended with a surprise visit from Santa Claus carrying a bag full of presents.
