Iselle Keeps Barreling Toward The Big Island

Maximum sustained winds are near 85 mph with higher gusts, though Hurricane Iselle is expected to weaken Thursday to a tropical storm by Wednesday night.

Iselle Continues To Move Toward Hawaii

Iselle is a Category 3 hurricane but is expected to weaken over the next 48 hours, the NHC said, while Tropical Storm Julio is gathering strength.

Hurricane Iselle Likely To Arrive In Hawaii On Thursday

The National Weather Service has not issued any warnings or watches at this time, but residents should prepare for the storm to hit Thursday.

Hurricane Iselle Continues on Track Toward Hawaiʻi

The system was located about 1,245 miles east of Hilo, and 1,345 miles ESE of Kahului this morning, and was moving west at 10 mph. The system has sustained winds of 140 mph and is expected to move into the Central Pacific sometime on Tuesday.
