Injury to Infant Classified as Home Accident

A Hawaii Police Department spokeswoman said the admittance Saturday of a one-month-old infant to Kona Community Hospital with a head injury is being investigated as a home accident.

A report of the incident apparently originated from the Honolulu Police Department.

Spokeswoman Chris Loos declined to speculate about the source of the report, but verified that the child had been admitted to the hospital. Loos said she could not provide details on the incident.
