Police Seeking Puna Man Wanted on Three Outstanding Warrants

Hawaiʻi Island police are searching for a 32-year-old Puna man with several easily identifiable tattoos on his body.

32 year-old Matthew Keoni Tilfas, who is wanted on three outstanding warrants, is known for having a series of markings including:

  • Bugs Bunny (on his back)
  • A large cross and the name “Keoni” on his upper left arm
  • A series of triangles on his left forearm
  • A rose and the name “Courtney” on his left inner forearm
  • The name “TILFAS” on his abdomen

Tilfas is wanted on a $1,000 bench warrant for contempt of court, a $150 bench warrant for failure to appear in court and a no-bail warrant for violating terms of supervised release.

Other than the tattoos noted, Tilfas is described as 5-foot-5, 160 pounds with short black hair, brown eyes and possibly a mustache and goatee. His last known address was in Hawaiian Acres. He also goes by the names of “Matt” and “Jenning.”

Police ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts call the police department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 in Hilo or 329-8181 in Kona and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
