BIAC March Points Meet Results

Because of weekend weather concerns, the Big Island Auto Club
compressed its normal two-day March Points Meet into one day on
Saturday.

Here are the winners of Saturday’s competition:

Junior Dragsters – Daesha Tobara (Mt. View) – 10.24 sec/52 mph.

MEGA Bracket winner – Tommy Spencer (Keaau) in a Chevy S-10 pickup – 9.18 sec/140 mph.

Best Reaction Time – Sean Kelly (Kailua-Kona) in a VW Dune Buggy – 0.003 seconds.

Closest to the Dial-In – Gary Mizuno (Hilo) in a ’55 Chevy Bel Air.

The BIAC’s annual “Bug-In” is next up, taking place April 20 and 21 at the Hilo Drag Strip.
